Australian Boardwalks and Deck Restoration

terms and conditions

These terms and conditions govern the use of the Australian Boardwalk and Deck Restorations (ABDR) website and the provision of services offered by ABDR, ABN 99 009 715 901, QBCC Licence 1193941. By accessing the ABDR website or engaging our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the website or engage our services.

Website Use

The content of this website is provided for general information only and is subject to change without notice. Your use of any information or materials is at your own risk, and it is your responsibility to ensure that any services or information available through this website meet your specific requirements.

This website contains material owned by or licensed to ABDR, including design, layout, text, and graphics. Reproduction is prohibited other than in accordance with copyright law. Unauthorised use of this website may give rise to a claim for damages and/or may be a criminal offence.

From time to time, this website may include links to external websites. These links are provided for convenience only and do not signify endorsement. ABDR has no responsibility for the content of any linked websites.

Quotes and Estimates

Any estimate generated by the ABDR online calculator is indicative only and does not constitute a final price. A site inspection will always be required before a written quote is confirmed. All written quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

Final pricing may vary depending on site conditions, access, timber type, scope of works, and any additional requirements not included in the original estimate.

Provision of Services

ABDR will carry out the contracted works as described in the accepted quote. By accepting a quote, the client acknowledges that the scope of works accurately reflects their instructions. Any variations or additional works requested by the client may incur additional charges.

The client must provide reasonable access to the property, ensure the work area is safe, and inform ABDR of any known hazards. ABDR complies with all workplace health and safety requirements and may refuse to undertake work if conditions are unsafe.

Where repairs involve replacement of timber, variations in colour, grain, or texture are natural and do not constitute a defect. Restoration does not prevent future timber weathering or movement.

Payments

Payment terms are outlined in the relevant quote or invoice.

Failure to pay an invoice by the due date may result in suspension of works, interest charges, or referral to a debt collection agency, with any associated costs recoverable from the client.

Warranty and Liability

ABDR provides workmanship warranties in accordance with QBCC requirements. Manufacturer warranties apply where relevant to supplied materials.

ABDR accepts no liability for pre-existing damage, hidden structural defects, natural timber characteristics (including splitting, cupping, or colour variation), or damage resulting from neglect, misuse, or lack of maintenance.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Clients must provide at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule works. Deposits may be forfeited if adequate notice is not provided. If works are postponed due to weather or safety concerns, ABDR will work with the client to reschedule at the earliest available time.

Collection of Data

ABDR may collect personal information voluntarily provided through the website, including names, contact details, and project information. This information is used solely to provide services and communicate with clients. ABDR may also collect non-identifiable information such as site usage patterns to improve the website.

Personal information will not be disclosed to third parties except as required by law.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

Changes to Terms

ABDR reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without notice. Continued use of the website or services following changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
